April Lockhart

April Lockhart (born July 4 in 1995) started her journey in music in the 7th grade when she started guitar and piano classes. When she was 12 years old, April composed her first single Different. When she was 14 April devoted a great deal of time in creating song concepts and practicing her musical skills. Then, she began taking trips to NY and LA along with her dad in order for them both compose songs. April also began to include other related topics for some of her classmates who struggle in the area of bullying by peers and teen suicide in the song"Take my Hand. Lockhart works in partnerships at famous clean beauty brand Ilia and also is a lifestyle blogger with a huge following of her own. Lockhart was never born having a left-handed hand, which is what makes her the person she is. However, that's not the full story. Lockhart's Instagram profile doesn't cover up her disability, but it does not concentrate solely on it. It's a reminder. It is important to remember that everyone has multiple faces. Our identities are varied and we're much beyond our body. Lockhart talks via video in Nashville. "I do not want it to define my personal life. I don't want to be only identified as a specialist in disability. This doesn't interfere with my daily life. It's all normal, and I have learned to make adjustments. But it's also a part of me and I feel that it's crucial to speak about. The journey of self-acceptance that Lockhart has taken will be one that lasts an entire lifetime. She can be a role model in this regard. However, she acknowledges going through phases with her body at times not being confident in wearing certain types of clothing showing the arms of her. Today, she wears whatever she wants and posts photos in those outfits to social media, she is proud of herself. Self-love, she says, is like a journey. "I don't think you will ever be there," she said. However, I believe that's the case with everyone with whatever they are struggling with. I believe having friends around you who really are aware of you and know your feelings is crucial because they'll be the people who will remind you what you worried about?
